As reported by Joe O'Donnell, Burr Ridge Patch, Pennsylvania native Mickey Straub embarked on his 50 Days/50 Capitols cross-country trip today to promote Abraham Lincoln's ideals of God, Liberty, Unity and Equality. He is criss-crossing the country to recite Lincoln's Gettysburg Address on the steps of each capitol building. Straub's trip is fueled by patriotism and honor for military veterans and he is fundraising for veterans' organizations through his website. Straub himself is a "Travel Goal Getter" with his bucket-list goal of visiting every state capitol. If he succeeds, his trip will conclude on October 23.
